DR. JONATHAN KROPF

Dr. Jonathan Kropf has over 21 years of clinical experience managing sports injuries and neuromusculoskeletal injuries utilizing evidence-based methods for the treatment and rehab of elite athletes, weekend warriors and families in the area. Dr. Kropf is currently contracted as the Chiropractic Provider for Villanova University Athletics working in conjunction with the amazing athletic training staff and team physicians in the Villanova Sports Medicine Department.

 

Dr. Kropf's main office is located at Sport and Spine Wellness Center in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.  A Large percentage of his active patients were referred by local specialists and primary care doctors. He has been featured several times as a healthcare expert on NBC10 Philadelphia News as well as a guest lecturer for local sports teams, companies and universities. Dr. Kropf is a Full Body Certified Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) provider and holds additional specialized ART certifications including Bio-mechanics, FMS/Active Palpation, and Long Tract Nerve Entrapment Releases. He has been part of the Ironman Triathlon Elite Provider Network for almost a decade. Recently, he joined R2P, an international group of practitioners headed up by Dr. Craig Leibenson. R2P, or 'Rehab to Performance' includes like-minded Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Medical Physicians and experienced Athletic Trainers (ATCs) from all sports that collaborate to share there latest literature and cutting-edge techniques in sports medicine and rehab.  

Dr. Kropf and his wife, Dr. Kelli LeBaron, are the co-owners of Sport and Spine Wellness Centers. In the fall of 2014  Dr. Kropf, his wife and brother-in-law Drs. Kelli and Brian LeBaron combined both the old Paoli practice and the Newtown Square office. The modern 3000 sq. ft. facility is a large family practice in St. Alban's Circle located in quaint Newtown Square  PA.  Dr. Kropf is also providing care to the employees of USLI in Slainte Health Club located at USLI's main office in Wayne, PA. USLI is a large, Berkshire Hathaway-owned company located off of Devon Park Drive a short distance from the town of King of Prussia, PA. 

Dr. Kropf was born and raised in the city of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a 4-year bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He then earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree after completing 5 academic years of study at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York as a consistent Dean's List student. Dr. Kropf then completed over 120 hours of a CCSP advanced certification, or Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician training, specializing in the conservative treatment and rehabilitation of all types of sports injuries including golfing injuries, shoulder injuries, weight training, and running injuries. During his first year of practice, he completed a one-year post-graduate advanced certification program in Sports Chiropractic through New York Chiropractic College and sponsored by the then chairman of the US Olympic Track and Field Committee. 

 

Dr. Kropf began practicing at Morrison Chiropractic, a busy, well-established chiropractic rehab practice for 2 years in Ellicott City, Maryland. Under the tutelage of Dr Morrison, now a distinguished faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he gained valuable knowledge in practice management and clinical applications. Dr. Kropf attributes his constant thirst for new research and evidence-based chiropractic and rehab techniques by being under the mentorship of Dr. Morrison.   Prior to settling in Pennsylvania, he practiced at Spine and Sports Injury Center in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. He managed a busy, multidisciplinary practice for a year with the 2004 World Champion Red Sox team chiropractor.  He and his wife relocated to Pennsylvania in December of 2004.  His free time is spent enjoying time with his two children and family.
